I am preparing for the final interview for the Associate role (Healthcare) at Analysis Group (UK). It will be a super day with a series of back-to-back 1-2-1 interviews and a presentation (I think I will need to present my job market paper but not confirmed yet).

I have my MSHRM; which I got before I started working in HR, and a PHR but with this new HRM role I'm thinking of getting an HR Certification in Strategic Management. It is very costly. Has anyone taken any of these Certification programs? Is it worth it?

Just started working in-house within the last couple of months. First real attorney gig after doing compliance. The GC was terminated and I had to fill in the role as GC (even though that’s not what I’m called). My company says they don’t need a GC. Talked to my boss today and they want to hire another to take things off my plate since I am the only attorney. They plan to rewrite my job position to do more risk and compliance. Am I wrong for feeling like I should have been included in the convo?

Healthcare + Tech consulting - what are good exit options?

How do you plan out your dates for maternity leave? I do not want to work up until my due date because I do not want the added stress prior to birth. I also want to give the people covering for me some clear instructions and don’t want to deal with going into labor while still in the middle of managing projects. My company does STD for the first 6 weeks but there is a one week “waiting period” that’s unpaid unless you put in PTO. How do you plan your last day knowing baby could come anytime?

Hi All, I have received offer from Wipro and location is Pune but during HR discussion I mentioned my preferred locations as Gurgaon/Delhi/Jaipur . Same I had discussed with HR after receiving the offer but now they are saying joining location can not be changed and have to join at Pune only.

Feeling that my brain has been on “auto pilot” mode for years. I am Principal in one of the top consulting firms, promoted on fast track basis, so have not been “lazy” and doing good at work. But everything feels the same, nothing gets me intellectually stimulated anymore, and now I feel like if the trend continues, I might lose my ability to adapt and learn new things altogether. Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.

I have almost 4 YOE making 143 at my current company. Applied to Accenture for an L8 but got offered an L9 due to lack of experience. The offer was 130 + 15. Is this worth it? Big reason I want to move is because there is no upward mobility at my current company. I’m looking to counter at 136 for my base as that is the lowest I would be willing to take.

Is it unfair to be annoyed that when a co worker always asks me to schedule meeting for him (he doesn’t have Webex I guess) and sends pings in succession about issues directly happening to him...but when I ask one thing of him, he doesn’t respond even after following up twice. Feels a little unfair I go out of my way a lot to assist but seems like it’s not the other way around.
