Hi All - I did my MBA from Tier 2 college and now working with EY GDS in consulting .(Work Exp. 4.5 yrs)

I am good with domain knowledge- cap markets and using Sql to an intermediate level.

Now after joining Ey the focus here is more on building skills, which i totally understand but not sure if this is right path for me.

Could you please guide on whats the role of consultant? One of the lead suggested to start learning Azure.

Is learning Azure easy? Could u recommend any links or courses?

Have any ux designers had success working for a European company from the United States? Are there companies hiring UX Designers in the US that allow you to live/work in Europe part time?

Does anyone take high level tech jobs in government seriously?

I've seen a BA in international affairs with 5 YOE end up as the "chief product officer" for a $30M organization with no technical or product (rather than program) mgmt experience. Another Director for AI ($5B org) with a BA in poli sci and no technical experience/education either.

Hi folks, has anyone changed their career paths from a cyber implementation specialist to sales? I have currently in the interview process for a cloud sales specialist at Palo Alto. They are going to train me technically and teach me sales for 18 months. Not so sure if this is a good idea…but as I thought about it aren’t we all selling in consulting too? Instead of a product we are selling our services. Not so sure on how to approach this

I'm an EA at a small global consulting firm (<25 people) with 5 years of experience supporting C-Suite execs. 3 months ago, the CEO put me in charge of our marketing efforts, and yesterday, he fired our recruiting coordinator and asked me to take over her job. I'm asking him for a raise on Thursday. I want to be a team player but am feeling like my job is a catch-all now. How would you define my role and how should I approach this conversation?

Hi! I was offered a full-time Social Media Manager role recently but the job scope seems to be exhaustive! I’m not sure if this is usual so it’d be amazing if you could chime in. I’m expected to be in charge of not only social media management but also email marketing (weekly newsletters), content production & creation, graphic designing, community management, customer service emails as well as blog writing and executing marketing campaigns. Is this the standard?

I was offered a new job in Internal Audit/ Consulting role at my current employer. W/ a jump in pay-grade level, 1 level (Hay Grade 16 to 17), and a 20% increase in salary ($108K to $130K) and 5% increase in potential bonus pay-out (10% to 15%). I was looking for $150K (39%) but am happy to get $140K (30%). How should I go about doing this?

Anyone have tips for dealing with pain caused by stress/anxiety? For over two years I’ve had this unexplained back/shoulder/neck pain and the doctors couldn’t pin it on anything. I transitioned out of running my own business and into a traditional role and the pain immediately disappeared. Now that I’ve been in the role for 6 months I’m having flare ups again. I’ve narrowed it down to be stress induced. I’ve started therapy, and I do strength training 3x a week. Any more tips? Apps for stress?

I joined PwC AC Bangalore as a fresher and have been working here for 13 months.
I was randomly assigned to SAP, but I’ve realised I really want to move away from this and move towards what I originally planned on pursuing i.e. data analysis, I was already well versed in ML and DL with python.
