Hi All, i had my 2rounds of interview with tcs on friday. Will they come back and hr send rejection email if there is budget issue or they will simply not send any communication.?

Does anyone known about pay for engagement managers at Google and how it compares to PM’s? Got a couple different opportunities in interviewing for.

It is normal for tech companies (Uber, Cisco etc. ) to ask for detailed analysis and presentations during initial rounds? Looks like the teams are either made up of former consultants who aren’t allowed to conduct case interviews or the teams just don’t trust the candidates enough to figure out things via conversations. Or am I missing something? I dropped out of interviews from a couple of companies because the number of rounds/materials they were asking was insane.

Is the case interview for ProdOps - Ads (strategy and ops role) similar to a consulting case interview? Lots of math? I tried searching in this bowl and don’t see definitive answers.

Our company of 110 EEs has separate providers for payroll and HRIS, not happy with either products. I’m gathering data to make a pitch to move everything into an all-in-one HRIS + payroll.

Does it make any difference to make the change effective the first week of 2023 payroll, or to make a change in payroll providers mid year? I’m thinking it’s best to start fresh at the beginning of the year and not worry about two payroll companies for reporting. What are other things to consider?

For eng/product/design I feel that it would be good to do occasional in-person “offsites” at the office or a wework for collaboration sessions, or just to work together every once in awhile. Since people are remote and spread out across the US, it needs to have justification but how do you justify “face time”/“collabs” - should it be tied to very specific projects?

My current DOJ is 14th of Dec and unfortunately I was unable to join the online pre-joining session on Tuesday due to some proxy issues. I dropped them a couple of emails stating my reasons and chance to attend any other possible sessions.

Is that session mandatory to move next-step, or will they blacklist my id and name. Although I got my DOJ confirmation mail mentioning that they will send out an email with induction links on appropriate days.
