+ break into Big Tech
+ be part of regional CEO's chief of staff team
+ specialize in a field I am passionate about
+ move to London
- 50% net pay cut
- limited predictability on career progression vs consulting
- role is one seniority level below the one I can get (I was told by the hiring manager)

Offering advice to job seekers who go around recruiters and message hiring teams, execs, etc. You are putting the Recruiters job in danger. If a Recruiter declines you or doesn’t choose to reach out, it is because the hiring team declined you, or you don’t have the experience. You will most likely not be considered for future roles because of this. When I see people giving advice to reach outside the Recruiter, it’s bad advice. Very rare is this a good idea.
