Hi.. I gave interview for Presales Consultant.. Eveything went well and I was through till HR round.. I mailed all my experience letters to HR for verification.. Next day I received a mail say that the position is on hold.. HR said there are some internal movements happening and shall get back to me in a weeks time.. I have no clue what's happening.. do I need to wait ?

Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

Question:please read, sorry if this too long. I’ve worked at this firm for 3 years as a Legal assistant, they hired another LA 10 months after me, she basically became the favorite. If there’s any new training to do, her direct boss (chairman) makes sure she’s the 1st to know about it, she’s the 1st being trained. I’ve talked to my boss (who is also a partner) about being trained. She said they’ll look into it, it’s been months. I’m not growing at this firm. What would you do?

I’m looking for advice on finding a new job as a paralegal. I just recently got my paralegal certificate in May 2021 and have been working as a paralegal for a Sole Practitioner since August, but had to make the decision to leave because I’m not making enough money to support myself. Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? How have you broke the news to your boss that you’re looking to make a career change and leave the practice? I am the Sr. Paralegal at my firm (7+ years) and work for a solo practitioner in a very busy wage & hour class action practice. We have one other legal assistant and law clerk. I don’t want to burn bridges, but after seeing how he gave the cold shoulder to his paralegal of 10+ years after going on maternity leave and never coming back, I don’t see how I can’t expect the same treatment.

Anyone have any ideas of salary compensation ranges for the Detroit, MI area? I’m in IP/patents specifically. 11 years experience with a Paralegal Associates. Firm is medium-sized and would have a workload on the heavier side.
