Hi everyone,
For lateral hires, TCS provides any training or they are expected to start working from the 1st day?
I am Switching my career from manual testing to Automated testing, so have less practical knowledge of tools, so will they give training or some can please suggest something here.
Thanks in advance.Tata Consultancy
Go for the firm you felt most at home with. 4K not a lot of money in the long run
They are all the same so take the higher offer. You’ll likely move on after 2 years anyway. Campus offers aren’t typically negotiable so don’t bother
Take DSG. I came up in the DSG and the ability to rotate through every service line is unmatched by any other firm. Deloitte also has a very consulting like culture and at EY everyone is nice. I have many friends at Deloitte who would agree on that point
I’m under Audit but want to move to Tax. I joined EY in June. Any suggestions? I’m taking REG on Saturday.
Not being bias, but things at EY seem a little rocky with all the changes, I’d choose Deloitte, it’s gonna be similar either way you go though 🤷🏻♂️
EY DSG program seems like a great experience. You would still be exposed to BTS work, but also different service lines.
Tax at big 4 is so specialized, so its a really good opportunity to try different things before you decide where you want to specialize.
Deloitte over EY any day
I personally disagree with the DSG comments. DSG seniors are exposed to a lot more ,but tend to learn a lot less in any given path. My friends had significantly more knowledge at the senior level because they were 2-3 years experience in their groups meanwhile the Seniors in DSG had 6 months in each group and were behind the learning curve as a senior in permanent group.
Go to Deloitte EY is a shit show.
Former EY manager here with 7 years and lots of connections still in the firm. I have also worked with DT in industry. I would recommend taking the DT offer. I have had several EY colleagues reaching out to me about leaving recently with a pretty common theme. Things started getting very bad at EY when I left 3 years ago and it seems the downward spiral is continuing. Also, I was DSG and the experience is not always what they claim it will be. I was GCR (pretty much BTS) and never rotated to anything else.
DT will have its problems too, but I would take the more cash and go DT.
Negotiate.
I know a few people who got offers matched...
DSG. And if you felt strongly that the Deloitte interview “felt better” then go with that.
Which office in Bay Area. They are very different.
Personally, I am in SJ office and I have not loved the interactions I have had with some SF people.
Ignore comp…it’s the “same” and often gets to exactly the same between accepting and starting. Firms talk.
