We ended up going into labor and delivering at 24/2. Our baby is growing like a weed and we’re 8 weeks after birth. NICU life isn’t easy but it is worth it to us

I’m so sorry Mama. I am sending so many prayers your way. We lost our baby at 24 weeks and it’s been the most difficult thing we’ve ever experienced and even though it happened Oct 2021, we are still recovering in different ways. Right now I encourage you to focus on your health and how to best keep you alive. This situation, unfortunately, can get scary pretty quickly. Please, please reach out if you have any specific questions and know that we are supporting you from afar. ❤️
I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm praying for you as well thru this healing period. Things change so quickly. I'm praying to make it to 24 wks. Then for each day/week after that. It is very scary with every ache of felt of pressure that sometimes is just gas. I'm doing my best to take it day by day. Thank you for sharing.
Sending love and prayers ❤️ I’m so so sorry you’re going through this.
I’m reading a section about this in Expecting Better. Identify a level IV NICU in your area that would have the resources on hand to give your baby the best chance for survival. She also recommends a steroid shot (for lung development), but again, for those types of recommendations, I would opt for what your OB recommends. I hope everything goes well for you.
I unfortunately had to deliver at 25/2 due to severely onset preeclampsia. The NICU was hard but I wouldn’t trade those moments with our daughter for anything. I would agree with a previous comment find a level 4 NICU that can accommodate for your baby as they will liklely need special ventilators to breathe. And above all get ready to advocate, advocate, & advocate for your little one. Get the steroid shots for their lungs and try to stay as calm as possible. Feel free to reach out for anything even if it’s just to vent or if you want to talk to someone that you can relate to. You will find most people don’t understand what a true rollercoaster the NICU can be. Sending love and prayers. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sending positive vibes your way 🙏! Remember, life never throws more at us than we can handle! You are a strong resilient woman and you’ve got this!
Praying for you and baby. Take care 🙏
Sending prayers too. I know the decision you make will be the right one for you and your family.
Sending ❤️
