So I recently got engaged (yay!) and have spent this fiscal year distracted and billing just enough to get tasks with due dates off my plate. Wedding planning is taking up a lot of my time and energy right now (even with a planner). I’m also planning to take a personal leave for 3-4 months leading up to the wedding/honeymoon. I would like to come back to this job but care more about enjoying this big life event. Has anyone found firms forgiving in similar circumstances?

Advice for how to handle the HR Director my organization is the most toxic person in the City, causing turmoil in departments, sharing disciplinary info about others with everyone she speaks to, bad mouthing people.
