Hi All! I recently completed a loop for an L6 amazon role. They ultimately decided they want me for Amazon, but at an L5 role. I just completed an additional interview for a different role and the recruiter said they do not want to move forward with me. I’m now being scheduled for an interview for a different role now. Just curious, has anyone been through this and finally landed a job? How many attempts did you have to go through? Thanks!

Biggest advice anyone give for MBB is to get a referral. Usually this would be someone from your network that you know. But what if you don’t anyone. Going cold Turkey on LinkedIn doesn’t work even if you have shared connections; doesn’t translate to meetings etc. I know something about my approach to networking is not correct. I understand that networking is more about relationship building and fostering a mutual long term relation. And was wondering if anyone had any advice. (Rising senior)

If a position for which I had a first round interview has since been put on hold, would it be reasonable to ask for an informational interview with the would-be hiring manager? In my experience, "on hold" has always been synonymous with cancelled. It’s frustrating and I like this particular agency, so I just want to make the most of this. Maybe there are other ways to handle these situations?

Can’t decide on a job offer. Currently employed and have been wanting to do something different. The other job offer is pretty much what I make now but I’d be losing on a lot of PTO. I kind of feel really confused about what to do. The hiring manager actually picked up on the fact that I don’t sound super excited for the job. But I feel like this is my chance to leave and do something different but I’m hung up on barely any PTO and swapping to a complete different industry.

I am looking. To accept a position out of state within my company. The position is posted and I am very likely to get the job .it would be an internal transfer. The recruiting HR told me that me that I am the top candidate but I shouldn’t expect relocation package . They would just give little something to help with the move. Should I push to get the relocation package or just be happy with what they give me.

I’ve had 2 interviews at Amazon for a senior product manager tech role- one with someone from the team and then someone from the engineering team. Should I advance, how many other interviews can I expect?

I have an upcoming interview for an internal transfer/promotion into an L4 workforce staffing role and wanted to see if I could get some insight as to what I should expect for the interview and what exactly the role entails such as responsibilities and daily tasks. This is my first time interviewing for an L4 role and just wanted to know what to expect before going into the interview (I’ve done a few interviews for L3 positions).

I got to ask. I had my recruiter phone screening and can’t seem to figure out a couple of things.
1. Applied for 2posts. Said Under Consideration for one but was interviewed for a different role. Is this normal?
2. The interviewer didn’t seem much interested to speak to me. Or maybe I’m reading too much into it.
Overall it went average, but I’d like to know if I could reach out this recruiter asking about the application status issue on the job portal!

For non-tech roles, is getting your resume pst screening really the hardest part? I’m being led to believe that once they pass along my resume to the hiring manager, they’re unlikely not to put you into loop, and unless you bomb the loop by not preparing, you have a very high likelihood of an offer. Is that really true? Is getting your resume past the auto-rejection the biggest hurdle for non-tech applicants?

I completed my loop with AWS last Wednesday. Do they convey the bad news or you just don’t hear back from them.

I had my phone screen on Friday afternoon with the hiring manager. He told me he did 4 phone screens this week including mine and has 2 more this week. He told me the next step would be a second phone interview and then the Loop. I sent a thank you note afterwards. How soon after your phone screen were you told that you were moving forward in the process?
