Hi all, I recently joined Barclays Mumbai and have been told to come to office for 3 days december onwards. Just wanted to know what is the dresscode there? Is it business formals or is semiformal attire (formal shirt with jeans) allowed?

I too joined recently and there is no dress code afaik. But the dress should not be too flashy/vibrant.

Great. Which location did u join? Mumbai or Pune? Cuz I have seen many folks come in complete formals. Maybe different work locations have different rules.

I have been working in Talent Acquisition for going on 2 yrs. I was a recruiter then a talent acquisition coordinator. I really didn't like recruiting, felt like a sales person this was totally not my vibe. I'm loving working as a coordinator its definitely for me but I'm just not sure how to move to the next level or what that next level looks like. I am interested in learning/working in employee relations or as a generalist. Any advice on how to move up or what roles I should be looking for.

I have been in full time permanent work my entire career. If I were to transition to a full time contract role where I’m paying for everything, what is a formula I can use to calculate the salary I want if I’m trying to get a 25% bump in my total compensation? Ex - if I currently make $100k as a permanent fte and my next job I want to make is $125k but I go from permanent to contract work, what is a suitable figure to ask for? Need to calculate paying taxes and the benefits I would be losing.

Need advice for resigning while on bench. I already have a start date with the new employer. Should I do a traditional two week notice or give <=1 week notice instead? My goal is to not burn bridges, but I also don’t want to get let go on the spot since I have nothing to “wrap up” besides HR tasks. I’ve read on here that sometimes they will let you go day of and pay you out for two weeks but I don’t see why any firm would do that for somebody not currently performing billable work...

But for real why is EYs expense policy so shitty? We have decent breakfast, great dinner, but lunch is nonexistent and cell phone is shit. How can we protest this particular first world problem?
