Hi fishies, I’m hoping to gain advice on how to position myself for another job title/job responsibilities. I was offered to create my own role for a start up (<50 employee). However, they need the most help with executive assistant and operations (finance/HR) responsibilities. I’m hoping to negotiate the job title from EA to Org Effectiveness Specialist (or something similar). What other responsibilities or job titles could I use to make my case? Thank you in advance!
Hey everyone! I’m interviewing for an HR Generalist role at a Fintech company, this will be their first HR hire and will be reporting to the CFO. I got invited to a second round interview to meet the team to ensure that it’s a good culture fit. I would love to know any thoughts on what I should ask or do to ensure that I am great fit. I left a good impression on the CFO but would to see what else so can do when meeting with the team since it’ll be a 2.5 hour meet up. I’m really excited!
S& fish, the senior associate roles ask for 3 YOE with a preferred MBA, is there any point applying with 2 YOE and no MBA?
The group I'd apply to doesn't have an associate opening.
I have a question for you guys, maybe i am abit naive but does it make a difference when someone initially refers you for a position before you apply versus someone retroactively referring you after you have applied?
Thots pls?.. esp regarding McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
McK 🐠 / people who have interviewed with them.

Anyone have experience turning down MBB? I did and feel quite bad actually as i really liked all the people i interviewed and cased with, and know that so many folks would kill for an offer.
Truth is, i just got an offer that was more aligned to my interests at this time, and possibly better positioning me for where i wanna go. Everyone was super gracious and we agreed to keep in touch and maybe revisit - if life allows i really might wanna revisit. Does anyone know what process is there?
My office strongly recommends wfh next week but my partner is still going to come in. Advice on what to do?

Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?
I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.
Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!
I just feel this overwhelming apathy towards everything, I don’t feel motivated to work harder at my job, personal life is meh, don’t remember the last time I was actually happy. The only thing that I remotely enjoy is working out, life seems pointless otherwise. I don’t know what is wrong with me?
I am 11 weeks pregnant, and time is moving really very slow for me!

I am 56 years old. My financial advisor has suggested that I create a charitable remainder trust as a tax planning strategy to address $1M in unrealized gains and also allow for tax deductions. I am concerned that I will out live the trust and there will be an excessive contribution to the charity rather than my heirs. While I want to be charitable, having too much go to the charity is a conern. Any suggestions ?
Anyone in here ever worked successfully with an MLM? I need to scale my business quickly and looking for advice - and am aware that many people are not interested in MLM work. Not debating that - just looking for tips from those that have done it well for the long term.

I don’t like it, but my leaders continue to tell me that all experience is good experience. Should I try to breakout and find a variety of experience this early in my career or should I try to make it to 3 years and re-evaluate then? Have you had a similar experience? What have you done?
