Hey, looking for a good work life balance company for analyst position so as to find out some time for competitive exam preparation. Any suggestions?
Would you take high risk / high reward consulting gig at a small firm? Comp is hourly and project based. Firm has a good foothold in the niche market. Offers lots of flexibility. But no benefits and since it’s project and hourly based it’s feast or famine. If you have a partner (spouse, domestic partner, etc.) and they had a stable job, would it change your perspective of taking the high risk/high reward role?
Can people suggest some good client if they have met any..
When i say good client.
1. Client has to be willing to prepare proper approach before development starts.
2. Feedbacks should be considered from both ends.
3. Practical time constraints needs to be understood.
4. Requirements has to be discussed clean and clear, some cosmetic changes are always acceptable.
Rather than a poorly managed client.

Jobs ok. Could use the benefits. Offer was below market.
Hi Ladies - has anyone here considered making the leap to medical device sales? I've been wondering about leaving healthcare altogether as I've been pretty stagnant in my role for a while. Just putting feelers out and seeking advice, I'd love to jump to something a little more low stress, with higher income possibility
How much are you making as a Sales Engineering manager and how does your comp plan work?
Need some advice/guidance. I’m currently with a F500 company, on a great team with decent benefits, A+ WLB, but my entire 8 yrs of recruiting has been retail/hourly roles, and recently have been wanting to expand my arsenal & get into tech/engineering. I currently make a comp of about 90k. Amazon recruiter reached out & they accepted my 150k comp expect & I’m now at the “on-site” interview portion. Recruiting is for engineering or IT roles. Is the Amazon WLB really that bad? It’s a big increase.
Is it worth jumping to private for same money but better work life balance? I only just received a raise in August but got a job offer with fewer hours. It’s on a much smaller team (1 person I report to) v my team of about 20 at BDO
Seeking advice. I work in fashion as a Creative Producer and I'm looking to transition to a PM or Digital Producer role with an AD agency to get more experience. I haven't been able to land a PM role because I'm lacking agency experience and no one seems to want to train a newbie. Should I take a pay cut (possibly entry level role) for an opportunity to get the digital experience I need? Would love some feedback!
I’m interested in applying for a Senior investigator - surveillance with FINRA. Does anyone know what skill set may be needed for the role? I will def brush up on my securities laws and FINRA rules. I currently have my CFE and working on ACAMS.
Hi all, lofty question but here goes!
I’ve been thinking about the prospect of switching industries - from creative agency to something else, ideally w/ better compensation but for some reason have felt stuck re: knowing my options & where my skills would translate. I know the typical account skillset should translate to many jobs out there and maybe the vastness is what’s making me freeze? Has anyone transitioned to a different industry/company or does anyone have good starting suggestions?
Hi. Can anyone refer me for a job in Kantar ? Want it for a research role with economics qualification.

Relatively new partner here. Recently, I took my eye off the ball of a small closing (assuming, incorrectly, that the senior associate was on top of things), and the client became openly frustrated with us. It all ended up fine, but I never directly apologized. (I am also a woman and hyper aware of the female tendency to over-apologize.) Do I send the client a note/call to acknowledge the shortcomings and take responsibility? Or would that be met with annoyance?

How you all feel about sharing LinkedIn profiles, adding each other and endorsing? This will give a better boost to everyone’s profile on LinkedIn and since we share same pain of being salespersons - I would be happy to do that.
I am 3.6 years into my H1B. Accenture hasn't started my green card process. How late am I in the process? Do any other companies file for a green card immediately? Any leads would be very helpful. (Works on Cloud , API , Data & Tech arch Manager )

Additional Posts in Government
After 13 years in government, really want to get out. Anyone have experience convincing the rest of the world you’re not a “government employee”? I think hiring managers see government work and assume I’m lazy. Ways to get around this?
Hi, I’m new on here and don’t have access to certain bowls. Does anyone know how I can gain access to some of these?
Hi! Anybody knows of federal agencies hiring that are offering fulltime telework/remote?
I currently work for an agency based in DC and my boss is forcing us to come back into the office fulltime after we’ve been remote for nearly two years. Majority of my coworkers have already left for the private sector but I’d like to remain in the public.
Any tips on how to get into Booz Allen? I'm a program analyst for the government (CBP & DOJ) with almost 3 years of experience in program management. I've applied to over 80 postings and got one interview. Thank you! 🙏
Hi! I had an interview for a job with the DOL that I applied for on usajobs. The interview was exactly 3 weeks ago today and they have called my references. I haven’t heard any updates and I know it can be a very slow process but do you think I should reach out to the interviewer via email to follow up or no? Thanks!
I have worked in municipal government for almost 17 years. I love what I do as an Inspector, but the environment is toxic, and administration horrible. I have an opportunity to go into the private sector side, as well a second interview for another municipality doing same job. Private sector job will pay 35,000 more but will be 3 hrs away my husband is in law enforcement and can’t leave due to his position. Concerns are: private sector and when recession hits, it’s construction, away from hubby
My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?
Looking to move from govt to a consulting firm. What's the salary range for a contracts manager?
Have you used a recruiter to find a government job? If so, how was your experience? Any insight would be much appreciated!
Is it really that difficult to get hired for a federal job? I was interviewed for a GS12 job but never heard back, they still didn’t hire anyone and I didn’t get a rejection. I applied for another GS07 job, was accepted, I took it, but I believe I can do better. I have a master’s and have extra graduate research experience. I am still applying to new jobs but I was told it is impossible to move up the grade level now. Everyone is telling me to stick with the government. What are your thoughts?
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.
Looking to make transition from state unionize government job to the private sector. Big concerns are healthcare insurance costs and pay. Been unionize for 20 years and very worried and lost with anything about jumping ship and moving to private sector. Any advise would be great.

I am a PIO at a state agency and I’ve been thinking about applying to the FEMA reservist. Does anyone have experience with doing this while also being employed for a state agency? Is that a normal route to take or is there another way to gain more experience with disaster/crisis communications?
Any insight appreciated!
