Hi all! I was thinking about changing industries. I am currently an underwriter for for-hire transportation with 7.5 YOE. Wondering what others have found to be transferable skills or if anyone has made a career change (even just changing departments or lines of business). Any info or suggestions appreciated!!

Yeah I’ve been looking and have seen the jobs on LinkedIn just not getting any bites yet. I’m a full time employee currently (the sector of insurance I underwrite is for-hire vehicles - people who transport other people - like Ubers, taxis, limos, etc.).

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Have been working with Deloitte US Tax, (India office) since 5 years. The amount of work has increased insanely over the years and the work-life balance has insanely decreased.
The pay that I get is not even competitive. It just feels like I am slogging to get almost nothing at the end of the month, neither the pay nor the work life fit.
Would love to know what would be the other options where the I would get a better pay and better life. The life here seems to be just ending.😒
