How often are people receiving raises? I got snubbed at my last review, when I’d been told to expect a raise, and was told HR would be evaluating everyone at the end of the year.

How did you learn the “business” side of opening your own firm? How do you figure out the most basic things such as 1099/paying yourself/taxes/deductions etc? I can figure out the legal side and what software and things to get but no clue where to begin on the business side, including the “copyright” and all the fine print for your website even. Hi 👋🏾 I started a job in Jan of 2022 as a proj. coord. (2yrs exp) for a small-mid sized company ~200 ppl. I have received much recognition from the directors and higher executives. 3 months after being hired I was asked to become SCRUM master (for which I am certified) Unfortunately there has been a series of management changes and at my 6 month evaluation my salary was adjusted from 65 to 67k. Am I wrong to expect more? I’m unsure what a typical promotional jump is but 67k for SCRUM master?

I currently work at an international law firm (4 years) and recently accepted an offer to go in house. The main attorney I support did not take the news well and was very angry with me. Dear fishes, recently I was interviewed for lead position by two good product based companies and I cleared all the rounds, but both HRs are saying, you are technically good so we can offer you senior software engineer position not the lead position.

For senior software position, I will get Max 15% hike only.

For lead position, I will get around 30% to 40% hike.

I see so much room for growth in my firm, especially related to social media, updated technology, marketing strategies, etc. Except, every time I suggest them, I'm pegged as a greedy/pushy millennial. Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? What is the mean salary for a Project Manager in Italy?

Question: I am on an AE Hiring process. the HR said the salary range is 60k to 70k plus commissions and bonus. I told them, I am looking for 80k, considering my current salary and experience. So far I already had 3 interviews, things are doing well, only one more. I have heard murmurs of this.
