Struggling with something - have accepted a new position which required a backfill to current position. Was not part of the selection team nor was asked opinion of candidates. The individual chosen will be toxic to team - have already been told of several who now plan to leave. I recently cancelled a trip in the AA app and they refunded me in the form of a flight voucher. I don’t fly AA often and don’t really want the value of the ticket locked up with AA that I may not use for a while. Is there anyway to get that refunded back to either my card, or my bank directly? Some ideas I’ve come up with besides calling and asking, is to book a flight that is more then the voucher and then trying to refund all back to my card, but I don’t know if that will work....

I’m thinking of taking an full time opportunity I’m not particularly excited about to get out of my current role.
