Hi all. If you have ever encountered passive aggressive teammates, did you raise this situation to your direct report? If so, what was your approach and how did you deliver the feedback? Sorry you’re going through this. I would definitely loop in your manager and share what’s happening and let them know you’re looking to remedy the situation (not just complaining) and even ask for their guidance. Should things escalate to HR at any point you’ll have documentation of having raised it to your manager. Good luck!

I guess it depends on the emotional maturity of the individual. I had one of these situations, and I sat down with the person and was like alright, what’s going on, can we start from scratch? And we were able to completely redo our work relationship. But I understand that probably doesn’t work for all people

like

This is awesome. If only everyone was this mature and professional. Bravo!

I think this is a tough one, and I'm somewhere between G1 and N1 on this. I think it's worth raising it as more of a "what's going on and can I help" as opposed to a "you're doing this and I don't like it" approach as they'll naturally be defensive. If you're not comfortable raising it directly with them, I would still raise it during your managerial catchups because chances are that you are not the only seeing it and/or experiencing it

like

Oh god, yes. I did raise it, after thinking on it for quite a while. I don't like to start drama or complain but it was happening more frequently and other people on the team were noticing it too. My boss was very supportive, luckily.
