I hate rejecting interviewees. :( some of them are genuinely nice people and I think many of them have potentials, but just not the right fit for my team because of skill sets and experience level. I know there’s no perfect candidate and all but some are just not going to be the right hires. It’s ny first time hiring ppl so it feels very uncomfortable and guilty. And I think “hiring based on attitude” is very idealistic and not applicable in most real life scenarios
Given inflation and alleged labor shortage, what's the new base/TC band for an exit after 2 years as an Associate post-MBA in the US?
By close of eyes is not a reasonable time for any deliverable to be due. You work from home not 24/7. Let’s normalize standard working hours; if work isn’t done within eight to nine hours in day then it’s time for evaluate systems, if all those Zoom calls were necessary and staff utilization.
I am going to cry today, I can feel it.
How do you reflect after a second or third round interview with the team/managers where the conversation is mostly chatty and light, there’s no real technical questions or anything and then you get rejected? With more technically driven conversations I can usually tell if I did a good job answering or not.
Anyone here with recent H1B Dropbox experience?
My hotel straight up abuts a corporate building. I woke this morning and accidentally made awkward eye contact with a dude in this conference room. Travel life is precisely as glorious as I remember from the before times
Internship offers from ZS and Strategy&! Very excited but torn between the two as I like the people at both firms. I’d be aligned to healthcare. Thoughts and advice appreciated!

Once a company says they are working on an offer for you, how long have you seen the actual, written offer take? I haven’t made a move in a long time so can’t even remember what this timeline is like. Imagine it might depend on salary/position, as well.
What’s the one thing in your home office that you was a game changer other than the obvious (laptop, table, chair etc.)?
Hi Guys, Need your suggestion. I dropped papers and after a month I got a mail that my profile is shortlisted for Google business unit inside tcs. They say if visa will be raised immediately and I will moved to UK. What's the probability of this. Hope it is not a lollypop to make me take back resignation. Tata Consultancy
ACN fishes: what’s the salary range for a manager in digital finance (consulting)? Can you pull in 170k base? Thanks I’m advance!
BCG chicago / midwest people. I’m starting soon at entry-level. What’s the current travel climate like? I know it’s project-by-project but on average what % are we travelling what % at home (and if applicable what % wfh?)
Funniest things an intern has said? I’ll start. We took the interns to lunch and one girl goes “why have 1 guy when you can have 5 at the same time” we took them to get 5 guys hamburgers
How many kids do you want? Or have? I get the logic of having more than one so they can have siblings, but I’m curious why people decide on a specific number (2,3 etc.)
People here on a visa, what do you use to invest in stocks and portfolios etc? Been struggling with finding a platform that allows non us citizens and is Deloitte approved.
Was told during hiring that firm provides a 10% fixed bonus, regardless of performance review or evaluation. Then I’m hearing from an employee during my first week that you need above x% utilization to get the bonus at the full amount. Should I confront recruiter? I asked her this exact question and she told me no not to worry about that.
