Need some advice here.I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future even for an ML role?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Google Microsoft Adobe Citi Barclays Bank of America

I'm fearing a bit bro, like it's an Island not a place like US or UK , so I may need to return back to India at some point and need to find a new job here.
Also it's a small going startup , there may be some risks.
And I'm thinking of sincerely preparing DSA and system design , if I go there I'm not sure will I get enough time to prepare for that.
Ja bhai ja
76k is good offer
Yes , but I'm fearing a bit like it's an Island so one cannot stay more time there, probably need to return back to India after few years or find a new job in another country if luck favours.
2) It's a startup , I'm hearing about recession and all so worrying abt that
3) I'm not sure will I get enough time to prepare for DSA and all, since work will be more in startup and also I think one will get occupied with other chores since it's a new place
I don't want to sound like a party popper, but just to let you, once you get there, you an expect your peers (ones with similar experience) to be making 2X of what you'd be making. So be prepared for that.
For them, you'd be another deadass cheap labour.
Also, in terms of savings i think they're painting too rosy of the picture. You'd be able to save 30L only if your company is footing your living expenses.
Hi, Regarding savings , I spoke with few of them who are working there, they told we can be able to save around that amount since the entire amount will be tax free.
