OP and EY1, happy to help be a sounding board for how you might find your way to things that interest you more. There is a ton of growth in PAS, and emerging services and spaces. I’d love to be helpful to find you the right match. Feel free to DM me if interested in a conversation.
100%. Sorry for missing your response. Ping away.
Which group in PAS are you in? PAS seems like a great area and I'd actually love to join! Currently waiting to hear back from my initial screening. Considering that multiple people have shared similar feedback here, would you say I should take this as a red flag?
I would say pas is definitely an exciting line to be in since there are so many sub service lines within pas ( change management, workforce advisory, workforce transformation, etc). If I were you I wouldn’t take it as a red flag bc I think it’s just my sub service line that I’m not enjoying bc it’s hyper technologically focused
Following as I’m in EY PAS as well and not enjoying my work or the team I’m with.
Are you looking for opportunities outside of EY in general? Or do you want to stay with EY?
Try changing service lines. I’m currently working in transactions and enjoy it. Im a staff working in a PMO role supporting the HR workstream in a divestiture. I hear about my friends doing change management and honestly it sounds terrible. So does Time and attendance, payroll, etc. Avoid all of those.
At M Level for change management, you’re reviewing those thing rather than creating them. And you’re working closely with senior leadership at your client to create and adapt the strategy/approach.
I feel the same, OP. Following for the same reason as I’m in PAS too 🥺
Also in PAS and so tired of doing change management
Totally hear you OP. Following as I’ve been doing change management in PAS and now realizing I’ve entered into this niche with very little exist opportunities if I don’t want to stay in consulting. Interested to hear what are some options for change management professionals outside of consulting.

What group of PAS are you in?
Also lots of exit ops. I’ve seen people go to other HC firms. Massive hiring right now so a good pay increase will be there. Others do change mgmt in industry, some luck out in HRBP roles. HR M&A etc
Why not mercer?
Feel the same - following. It’s been hard to fine exit opps (e.g., PMO, HR, TM) aligning directly to my skill sets.
How about transitioning into Business Analyst or a HCM Project Mgr role?

I’m in PAS and while it is REALLY easy to get wrapped up in a niche area, you can STILL try other things, it’s your life!! Tell EM you need other experiences, as well as your counselor, network with those that are in other area you like and pull yourself out of systems into something else. Try change and comms if you don’t like technical. Happy to connect with you, I know lots of people in this area
Is it possible to get out of PAS into a different practice?
Yeah but depending on where you want to move to, you could get a demotion. I know a manager who transferred into PAS and had to start as a senior.
Workday?
Maybe they meant ‘config’ and it was autocorrected?
What do you do primarily in PAS? Would love to hear about it
We work with hr systems. We implement them, do pmo work, and/or strategy work but specificly for the technology
What type of work are you currently doing? Change Management for tech implementation?
I’m doing implementations and pmo work
What's comp look like for SCs/Ms in PAS? Thinking of jumping but would want 150k
Ms can easily cross 150 even ingrown folks. For external hire - you can shoot for 170+
What niche have you moved into? There are several service lines within PAS (OWT, culture, etc)
