Why diversity is important in the workplace
When it comes to recruiting, is it good for the industry when the first word out of HR is "diversity" and not "talent?"

How do you list your consulting extracurricular activities on your resume? Like being a part of a diversity council, accomplishments for internal initiatives, etc. Been out of college for 1.5 years and my resume needs an update.

A lot of companies put out ads or talked about policy or internal changes in response to the BLM movement. I’m wondering if, beyond the immediate ads and statements that were released this actually continued. What are some things your agency has done… or could do to make a real impact in the realm of Diversity, equity and inclusions (DEI).

Not in GPS, but I do get the emails from Dan Helfich and I just want to say he seems like a helluva leader. He comes across as authentic and genuinely invested in diversity and well being of his ppl.
I’m still trying to process seeing an agency exec well known for dismissing and ignoring POC held up as an exemplary diversity champion for women at the 3% Conference.
I’m a partner at a small firm looking to lateral. Many firms that were beyond my reach a year ago are now eager to pick me up. Firms that I should be selling myself to are instead selling their firm to me. (And I am a very confident person; no imposter syndrome here.) Is there some larger diversity push going on? Is it hard for bigger firms to retain female partners? Curious what the market is.

Feeling like consulting isn’t the best career for me b/c of the lifestyle and I met someone who I hate being apart from every wk. But I always wanted to reduce gender gap, so I feel conflicted/guilty.
Advise on handling rates negotiations with BIPOC and non-male creators? I always want to accept first bid and get uncomfortable when my bosses push to undercut rates (especially now when money is tight), because there is a whole history of BIPOC and non-male people getting paid less. I’ve tried to push back but struggle to articulate this to them. (For the record, I’m POC female and my bosses are white males, and race/gender convos are already very difficult with them.)

Hey all! Anyone know what the AMEX band/level hierarchy is compared to Deloitte? Conscious it varies based on team and geography but generally speaking is a M/SM at AMEX akin to a C/SC at Deloitte? My little step sister is 9 and is very clearly and openly the less favored child between her and her brother. I feel terrible for the environment she has to grow up in. I opened an UTMA account for her and am contributing what I can to help her out.
