Did 3 panel interviews at Discover Financial Services for the Sales Account Executive role and felt the TC package was too low. Salary at $70K with annual bonuses at 25% with. $5K one-time sign on bonus. I made the case that my experience and education was far more than even the preferred criteria on the job description, and over 3x of the minimum qualifications. The recruiter is now thinking of two other roles for me:
Lead, Program Marketing
Lead Field Solutions Representative
Any feedback?

Hello, I’m seeking information on how to successfully transfer from the Amazon warehouse into a remote position. Am currently looking into ERC, DLS or HR services. I have over 5 year tenure and for the past year have been actively applying but I have no luck landing an interview. If anyone could assist with referrals or pointers on how to stand out to recruiters I would appreciate it!
Does anyone have any information on Product Solutions at Baker Tilly? I’m currently interviewing for the role and I want to gain more information about about a couple of things.
First, what is the work like. Are we just regular consultants doing dashboards or does it actually develop you in core Product Management skills.
Second, is it a good role? As in exit opportunities if needed after working?
I know it's a tough blow, but you just have to remind yourself that at the end of the day, it's business, not personal. My rule of thumb is to allow myself one day to wallow in self pity, and then I have to get back on the horse and keep pushing forward. Hang in there!
Big4 firms are insanely competitive. Add that to the fact that the economy right now is horrible, hiring freezes are rampant...you really should not feel discouraged. Sponsorship requirements can definitely affect the situation so I'd take a look at companies you know are willing to sponsor.
EY was willing. I was even shocked why I made it through and through when I disclosed it in the application that I needed sponsorship bec I thought I was gonna be rejected at one examine bec what the point of interviewing me if there is an underlying factor thats a big no already, and they also told us in the info session bec thats where i got to learn abt the openings and applied through the whole process. I was reco’d by an executive too. So idk, i’ll still try, it’s just a redirection.
