I've an offer from a company (Big 4), and serving notice period in current company (Again Big 4). In the meanwhile if I apply to other companies, is it a good thing to tell them that I've a offer in hand? So that they can expedite the process and may incline more to provide an offer thinking that I already have one (so one company thinks that good for this money) or is that negative? That company will think why am I looking out even with an offer in hand.

I’m sending resumes out far and wide, ideally I’d be in a new role ASAP. I’m already starting to get requests for phone screenings so formal interviews will probably be on the way. The kicker is that my wife is 6 months pregnant and our first child is due next February, which is busy season the public accounting jobs I am applying to. I feel like requesting paternity leave or letting them know a baby is coming will make hiring me more difficult. How do I approach this, and when do I do it?

My TL is a lady who is always on a fixed shift with sat and Sun off. And she never does any work except pointing out mistakes... Even if some person doesn't do that work she always sends mail to me with the manager. i don't know why I'm responsible for some other people's work?
