Should you negotiate a higher salary? Always.
Do you fall in between Analyst - Associate because you have a Masters degree? No.
The unfortunate truth in most cases is that you start at the same level as an undergrad with a masters. Makes it easier to get a job, but does not warrant a higher position or salary.
Also which position is this for? If its for BA - it should be the same as others, and can’t really negotiate.

I don’t work at McK (salary is openly posted on managementconsulted), but if there are any general questions - feel free to DM!

Your irrational confidence and perceived value is why you got an offer at McKinsey. That being said, don’t let it fuck your career up. You have no experience and a masters degree which is worth nothing with no experience. McKinsey pay is banded so you’re not going to get a dime.
TLDR;Take the job, work hard, and they’ll early promote if you’re good enough.
Thank you for your advice!
I think you are already overpaid
😬 We all have things to pay for. Do you mean in comparison to other entry-level consulting roles?
You do not have an MBA and falling between analyst and associate category with $100k is way more than you deserve with that experience.
I’m not sure where this notion of being deserving or not is coming from. There are tons of fresh undergrad hires making the same or more across different industries. I’m glad for them. I have an advanced technical degree and although I know that having an MBA is different, I will be taking a pay cut by accepting this role compared to what I was previously earning.
