Engagment stickers. I know they’re worth it for IG stories, but I’ve been seeing them lately on IG reels.

Do you think audiences know it’s interactive? And if so, do you think it’s worth adding stickers to posts and that aren’t IG stories?

Hi I want to try to start working as a paralegal while in school (I have only two days of classes so I can three days of the week) but I am having a hard time finding a place that would give me a chance. I am a Cj and sociology major and have a strong background in research (I interned at a DA office as a research assistant and am working on an independent research study for school), but all places want me to have paralegal experience. Any advice on breaking into this field without a certificate

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

When negotiating salary is it a bad idea to bring up the fact that the company DOES NOT provide benefits (health insurance, paid family leave, etc)? It’s a smaller company with >30 employees.

Has anyone here ever been on the receiving end of a PIP? Ie 30 day performance review? What was your experience during that window and leading up to (hopefully) quitting to take another job or getting fired? Do people just ride it out and accept their fate and interview their tails off? Would love to hear how they were treated, what mental toll it had, and how to accept you were getting fired before you got fired? And telling coworkers?

Just have to say - at the beginning of the year I jumped ship where I was (a bank) where I was making $39k a year, to another bank where I am making $45k a year and have a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks work from home schedule. My new company is great and it was a significant raise. Now, this inflation is absolutely killing my wife and I, since we had a lease renewal happen last month. Would I be out of line to ask for a raise after 6 months? I know my coworkers all make at least $5k more a year than me.

Maybe some perspective might be of use to me. I’m transitioning out of the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive in the market. I’ve got two offers from great companies. Biotech and Healthcare, both on the Human Capital Team as an Employee Relations Consultant. I have a graduate degree pursuing a Doctorate, LSSBB, ScrumMaster, SPHR, and PMI-ACP certified. I know this is personal and dependent, but what should I be considering as a commensurate salary?

Is is possible to ask for a raise just based on what I’ve seen on the market ? This past months many firms have contacted me and total comp is higher in general (for the same industry). Or do I need to have an offer letter in order to ask for the raise ?

Got an offer at a startup Sr BI Analyst for 120k base and 10k in equity. I had an informal call with the new manager today where he told me these numbers and I said I would take a day to think - they sent over a formal letter via Rippling.

Im going to counter offer in the morning, I guess by sending an email? Thinking about aiming for 5k bump in base and 10k bump in equity? Is that unreasonable?

I was recently promoted.. so I think. The company is going through reorg and with that, the minimum salary is being pushed to $52k/yr. I am currently earning $42k/yr and with this promotion, I was offered $55k. I am thankful for the recognition however, seeing as new employees will be hired in at almost the same rate; I’m not sure how to negotiate this. I would already be receiving a 23% increase but with the reorg taking place I would essentially be back a square one.

Hi, I've negotiated an increase in salary with my boss, but instead of a letter to effect, I've been called to meeting with HR and my line manager. Interviewing for a Google job. Currently an M2 at Meta. On the cusp of a D1 - what’s the equivalent level for D1 at Google? In Austin - so what salary should I be asking for and RSUs? Currently make base $250k plus 25% bonus and started Meta with 200k in stock. Also to note I’ve reached 5yrs so I have that 30d paid vacay coming up which I would lose if I took the google offer, if I got it. How honest are people when other companies ask for your comp?

I’m unsure what the proper time is to ask for a salary bump.

Backstory:
I joined a top 20 freight brokerage as a pricing analyst about 6 months ago and keep hearing from my direct lead (c-level) that I have basically moved mountains for this new team I joined.

I’ve streamlined processes that has led to lower operational costs as we don’t need to hire ops team members now. With this I have the quantitative data to back it up.
