When the new company files for your h1b it will be considered for a period of 3 years or the maximum validity date of your h1b (I.e. completion of initial 6 years). So there is no need for a separate extension to be filed your new h1b
Thank you very much! Since my 6 years end in Aug 2022, will my new employer have to submit my I140 details as well? I only have the soft copies.
You are good. The transfer petition of your employer will also be granted for 3 years (similar to an extension with a change in employer).

Yes they will
What if old company revoke your 140 after your transfer with new company is in process or approved. Not sure what’s possible. Ideally , what I have seen so far was get the extension done with old company and then apply for H1B transfer with new company. Then, redo the PERM process.
This is a good point. But the I140 has passed the 6 month period that an employer can revoke the i140 that they filed... isnt that why people wait for at least 6 months after i140 approval to move?
