Use your ears twice as much as you use your mouth
Build relationship early on with managers or partners. A lot of the time it’s just appearing and you form relationships. Also join things outside of whatever project you’re on. Either corporate groups at BAH or even just things outside of work. Trying to keep sanity is definitely important early on

Get the basics down as fast as possible. Don’t feel the need to go 0-100 immediately. You can’t build on sand, so the first few years are crucial even though they can be awful at times. - someone currently replacing sand with concrete

Aggressively stay on engineering projects and work under other engineers. Booz Allen has a knack for taking talented technically capable engineers and turning them into project managers with an engineering degree. If he is in any engineering field where a PE is in his future, I can not stress enough that he needs to be working alongside another PE and not diminish the value of the degree he just earned.
