How difficult are top European MBAs to get into? (Eg Insead, HEC Paris) As a side question, would there be much value in getting an US MBA if I don't want to work in the US? (I am not American)
Hi, hope u doing great. I'm looking for management consultant role. Could u please help me to land in this profile. I'm working student with 3years of work experience. Pursuing MBA ( Will be complete in coming june) from GD Goenka University, Gurgaon.
Is an exec mba from a tier 1 school worth it if I already have a full time mba from a lower ranked school.
I really want to pursue an MBA to try to pivot into a different industry but I’m getting so many (mostly older) people saying things like “ you should think about settling down” or “you should consider how an intense career is going to affect your future children” or “isn’t where you are good enough?” It’s really been bugging me because I feel like if I was a guy, I would probably hear much more supportive comments! Anyone else experience this?
Ultimately want to go the entrepreneurship by acquisition route in about 5 years. Struggling to figure out what to do next post consulting. Currently, 2 years in consulting after MBA. Worked for 5 years in a start up prior to MBA
When should I start reaching back out to recruiters for Full-time MBA recruiting? Any chance of interviewing early (like summer) if I came close and had strong connections in an office? I’ll be at a boutique this summer.
For the non-US with SO: Your SO went to the US with you? If Yes, how did it work? My SO works with R&D in Chemical Industry, she thinks in do a masters in the future, so a I think she could do at the same time I would go to MBA, but don't know how this works (Just brainstorming here)
I regret not having done my MBA from an IVY League B school. I have seen industry and HR professionals being biased towards people from IIMs and so on. While I am currently doing decently well, I can't help feel bad for experiencing the bias in terms of promotions and CTC. Even the new/baby IIMs (some of which I have left to join my B school) are now given more importance. How can I offset this bias?
I work in a Rep Services Call Center for an Insurance/ Investment Company. Currently I'm pursuing my MBA at Western Governors University and I plan to get my Series 7 after my MBA so I can get out of the Call Center and advance my career. I'm looking for some advice / guidance/ideas for growth opportunities from here. I'd like to hear about good experiences and bad experiences people have had in this industry, where did you start, how did you grow from there, what licenses do you have, ect.
Hey Guys, Is it possible to refer an MBA graduate with no prior experience through the Deloitte USI referral program?
Passed the CISSP today!!! Being a « non-technical » professional this is a massive achievement for me. I am incredibly proud
it’s wild how much casual racism there is in the HBS threads. maybe the reason you didn’t get in despite your top stats is that your essay pointed to the same type of low EQ that goes with complaining about how unfair it is.
Anyone else struggling to get traction in recruiting? I thought I had a strong resume. Mckinsey EM with distinctive performance and accelerated designation. TMT focus. Worked in finance for 5 years prior to M7 MBA. Engineering from top undergrad. I got rejected from FAANG without even getting a first recruiter call. And I had strong referrals at all of them. Pretty dejected :(

So I am seeing this guy, and whenever we go out for dinner we split the bill 50/50. Like he doesn't even offer to pay. But when we go out for drinks after dinner he pays. He's currently doing his MBA so loans and told me that money was always tight when he was a kid so I get it, but sometimes it's hard not to compare to my ex who used to pay for everything when we went out. But then again he had a range of other issues hence the ex... please offer some respectful thoughts to help me 😊
If you're already a CPA and thinking about getting another cert/degree that is a nice-to-have but not necessary for your career, and this would take significant amount of your resources to do (contd)
Curious to know if anyone is applying or has attended Stern Tech MBA? What’s the experience like - recruiting, lifestyle, classes, reputation, etc? Did you enjoy it? Regret and wish you did a 2-year program instead?

Late night thoughts - I cannot figure out when to throw in the towel on consulting. I just switched to a Big 4 role two weeks ago and I feel like my stress has shot up significantly. I hate traveling for work and I want a role with good WLB. I know two weeks is nothing and I feel like a failure for giving up so easily but I feel I'm just not made out for this kind of life. Should I just suck it up and stick it out for two more years for the exit opps?
Been a miles hoarder for my whole life (United, American, Delta). I just learned about fidelity (2% cash back on all purchases/no annual). Seems legit. Any one have experience?
