Hi all, new to fishbowl. I am currently a PTA working in homecare. I am considering changing career paths to non-clinical. Everything I search for available jobs in the pay range that I need seems to come up as sales, (Sr, executive, etc) I have zero sales experience, but could see myself working as a healthcare liason, recruiter, care coordinator, or pharm sales rep. I live in Dayton, OH. I would love some insight or feedback. I also see Gpac recruiting popping up, is this a reputable co? Ty!

You could still get into sales - you do have client/patient facing experience still : ) Its all about recognizing those transferable skills and selling yourself.

Thank you! I will definitely consider this as an option. 🤞I find a good fit!

I think sales is definitely an option, why not just apply and see what happens? I think pharma sales rep in particular would be a good fit and it's good money!

Thanks so much! I will move forward with applications!! Wish me luck!!

Hi all,
I have been a practicing DPT (doctor of physical therapy) for 9 years and am a certified orthopedic specialist. I have worked in multiple environments including hospital based outpatient sports ortho and acute care. I am about to finish up my MBA with a focus on healthcare administration, and am worried that my current place of work may not have a place for me to grow into. I'm hoping that some of you may have suggestions of roles or positions to pursue? Thank you!

I think I am just really hormonal and just overthinking something so far away but I am due (first child) in the middle of April and my husband has a childhood friend who is getting married June 10th in New York (we’re in Atlanta.) I think I am already sensitive because he has no paternal leave so he’ll just take PTO for two weeks and then it’s on me to stop my job for the full 16 week leave. I feel resentful that he wants to go and leave me with the baby. Am I out of line?

Their a little old school in their methods but I do see the younger gen. coming in to make changes. 2nd offer is at a newer firm however i’ve heard great things, and they offered 80k, unl. PTO, 1500 billable hours, bonus incentives qrtrly, & 50% health ins. WHY can’t I make a decision? HELP
