Some ideas: - Cosy soft pyjamas - Socks for warm feet - A hot water bottle with fun/cost cover - A glass straw water bottle - A funny novel - David Sedaris is great but depends on personality - Maybe a magic bullet blender to make smoothies if she doesn’t already have one - Send her flowers the day before retrieval - A simple blank card where you say something short like “you’ve got this”
What not to get: - Anything food based, as diet is very personal and particular and it’s easy to get the wrong thing. - Any cosmetics. - Ensure everything you do buy is paraben and phthalate free.
Weirdly my most used thing was ice packs to freeze injection sites before getting shots. A cute one would be nice. Also, things to distract the mind (this depends on the person - for me, crossword puzzles and rom com books).
Definitely an electric heating pad!! And I'll second the socks, they make really cute ones on Etsy with fun quotes for those going through IVF. Pineapple bandaids!
- Cozy Warrior Socks! (Fertility non-profit) - Ice packs for stim injections - Relaxing bath salts/oils for pre-retrieval prep and relaxation - massage gift certificate - Heating pad for post egg retrieval recovery - friendship love notes declaring all your love, support, and solidarity
Thank you for being a wonderful friend. It’s this type of community care that keeps one afloat during an impossibly difficult period.

Love this, thank you!
I'd have preferred someone call me a lot to check in versus a care package.
