Thinking of turning down a Google offer. 15 YO overall (5 year PgM exp), been a TVC at Google for 2 years doing the role I interviewed for (no direct conversation anymore, so I went though the full interview process). I got leveled at L4 (guessing interviews didn’t go that well) and the comp has been a bit underwhelming. WDYT fishes? Base - 155k, Equity: 132k, bonus: 15%, Bay Area, PgM role Down-leveled when I first joined consulting because I didn’t go to b-school and happens a lot. Sigh.

Fiancée (woman) wants to keep her hyphenated name after her previous divorce because she likes it better and wants to keep using it for her career/personal brand. Fiancé (man) thinks keeping it hyphenated is disrespectful to him, does not see how shortening a hyphenated name detracts from personal branding, would prefer she only use her maiden name going forward, and does not want her to adopt own last name once married. Who do you side with?
I love being around people but I'm still an introvert. In my HR role that also involves planning social events, I often feel overwhelmed and my energy is depleted quickly. Do you think it's a prerequisite to be an extrovert in HR? If you have similar experiences, how do you cope with it?
Advice needed: I have absolutely no idea what career I want. I know what my strengths are and what motivates me, but I have no idea how to put it all together to find a fitting role. Have you all ever experienced a similar feeling? How did you sort it out?

I found out a friend of mine’s dad is on the board at Wharton. I am going to speak with him about the school and I would love a letter of support from him for obvious reasons. Does anyone have experience getting a support letter from someone you don’t know very well? How did you approach the subject without putting them in an uncomfortable position?

Does anyone regret not getting an mba? For context, spent 2 years in T2 consulting out of undergrad, and left for a PM role at a unicorn. Comp is ~180k, with significant upside post IPO. I want to stay and vest my options, and potentially jump to other tech companies in a product function, but parents are asking me to think about an MBA. Will I need it down the line / regret not going back to school?
How do you handle a situation where a hiring manager sees an interviewee and immediately doesn't like them so they decline to interview? The hiring manager is a higher up exec looking for an assistant

Hi Friends, I am a Data Scientist, joined 6 months back in Infosys. At first they asked me to work on a product which have ML related stuff, after doing all work in ML. I also have to integrate all ML work in that product using python, now they want me to work on product UI too. Now, here sometimes I feel more like a Python developer since more work is related to python only. What should be the best for my career should I leave in search of Data Sc. Related work or do whatever they ask?
