I have had a BOA credit card for a very long time. Interest rate is 6.99% that I got in way back in early 2000s. I finally got the balance to 0 and found out that they charge $1.50 minimum interest charge per month. With the low rate for a card I don’t want to cancel in case emergency. What minimum balance should I carry to have the $1.50 be a wash? Or other advice?

I am torn about 2 offers I have (one I've accepted at a v10, & the practice i'm joining is band 1 ranked), and an in-house role where the hours would be much less, and the pay cut somewhat steep. Pros of the firm job are (1) $ since we are trying to buy a house and (2) It will hopefully be easy to go in-house after a few years at the firm.
