One of my out of state REs is suggesting that birth control for three weeks before having starting a cycle. I consulted with another RE previously and he noted that he doesn’t recommend birth control for too long when planning an ivf cycle since it can impact response to fertility medication. I got a positive pregnancy blood draw!!!! 2 Round IVF - this was a natural cycle and my HCG was 257 at day 9 post transfer!!

I am on my second IUI attempt - I have PCOS and this time the ultrasound found no mature follicles after five days on letrozole. My RE is “stair stepping” the letrozole - moving to 5 mg immediately - in order to force ovulation. Has anyone experienced this? Taking letrozole mid-cycle?

As holidays come around, the family has upped their questions about when we are having kids and why we haven’t yet. Doesn’t help that my sibling with one other kid just announced her second pregnancy. Definitely happy for her, but don’t feel like I need to explain to the whole family that we are struggling.

Not the results I was hoping for this morning. Went for my first appointment before starting injections this evening. Only 9 follicles. Was told birth control can suppress some so they may just not be visible yet but feeling very panicked now despite the doctor saying it was ok for my age.

This journey is taxing.
