3 months into WFH and I (and my admin) are all of the sudden making mistakes like never before. Nothing minor, but definitely not on our usual game. I think it is due to the lack of ability to talk with partners and staff in person and sync up. Anyone else experiencing this?
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls

Any tips from folks around WFH equipment, stretches or exercise that helps with this? I’m going to my primary care phys next week just to get a confirmation that it’s not something more serious

I had an initial discussion with a recruiter at Microsoft for a director role. She mentioned that the base salary would be $185K. That sounds very low. But I need help understanding if that’s true at all? — This figure doesn’t account for bonuses and stock. It is purely base. For reference, I have 8+ years of experience. Does anyone know what is the average salary at Microsoft for a director level?
What does your firm do for evening meals if you work late? Most of our offices bring in a meal couple of nights a week but will no reimburse if in town and working late at a client.
Quick scenario: If I have a consulting offer from a different Big 4 that has a start date post-10/15, so that in theory I would not have to submit a 2 weeks notice until post-10/1 (bonus payout date) but I sign the offer pre-9/30, am I obligated (looking for both legal & professional standpoint) to tell PwC because it is with a competitor? This is essentially the exact same group at the other big 4
