Issaquah is a nice place. Great for raising a family. If you have to venture into Seattle for work, it’s going to be a llllooooonnnngggg drive. There’s been plenty of days where it took me 2.5hrs to get from Issaquah to Seattle (20mi drive btw).
The traffic from the core of Seattle to Fremont is a lot different than the traffic from Issaquah to Seattle. Issaquah to Seattle isn’t a problem.
Ditto to what D1 said, it's a great place for the kiddos and very family oriented BUT it can be chaotic getting into the city
Is that usual - 2hrs+ to get into the city from Issaquah ? What’s the norm? TIA
Issaquah Higjlands is very convenient to get on I-90. But as you can guess it’s going to get backed up during rush hour. Overall issaquah is a great place - I grew up in Redmond and great place to raise kids. dm me for more info
Thx M1, I will DM you soon.
We’re a early 30s couple with a toddler and dog who live in Issaquah Highlands. 12/10 - we love it here and never want to leave. The commute to Seattle is an absolute breeze and it’s quick to get almost anywhere.
I live in the Issaquah Highlands and commute to downtown Seattle. The commute isn't bad.
