Well To know your worth or say value, Reach out to Manager and ask for salary increase (don't tell about offer) and see how much he can increase. Ask him to decide in 2-3 days and if there is no response or say very less hike 10-20% then you should move out. Because it will be the same people who will offer more once you show another OL.
Nope, one of my friend n his team in HSBC got hike unofficial hike of more than 50% ( no resign, no appraisal it's plain hike as org found that their team were underpaid. From around 6.5 he is now at 11 LPA within 2 yrs. If org wanted to keep quite about their pay they could have done it. Isn't it? Similarly It's good for you to move out with good hike, specially when you are underpaid.
Any retention increase, onsite opportunities whatever they offer, take it in writing. Do not trust them for one second unless it's in writing
Bhai tu ruk ja, Looks like you want to stay but need validation. Tu salary nahi bhi diya to bhi ruk sakta hai in my view, you lack confidence to take the head on approach for new opportunity.

Before putting the paper you are thinking about retention.....why are you resigning buddy....you gonna regret it later if they didn't retain you...
@Tc1: Its better to inform manager and resign, if they want to retain and don't want to work for new employers, then withdraw resignation
Talk to him as courtesy..
Keep it simple, just have a word with your supervisor/manager and tell the that you want to leave because of these reasons ( low salary, less scope of learning... whatever is your genuine reasons). If they want to retain, they'll try to resolve your issues. If not, go switch... explore the new corners of IT World.
Bro, dar ke aage Jeet hai. Remember that. If you worry that much, you will never be able to switch. If you wanna grow in your professional life, need to experience all sort of things and survive through those. Worry less and take take the bait. All the best!
I was also in same situation last year November. They will match your salary showing offer letter but sooner or later you will feel it was better to leave because you ain't gonna stay only with that offer letter. You will find better offer during your NP.
