Hi All, with WFH I have time to work on myself & deal with my childhood trauma/emotional abuse etc. My symptoms are too mild to be covered by insurance or EAP. Any recs on good affordable therapists?

Not trying to doubt you but rather give you info. Mental health is covered by most health plans and the insurance carrier is not allowed to know details of why you are seeking mental health coverage other than a simple code, which could be for something general like “anxiety” or “depression.” If you find a mental health provider that is in network with your insurance you should just have to pay a copay (usually $25 or $45). Also some states are waiving copays right now in light of the trauma and stress that the pandemic is causing (ex: NY).

OP, doesn't make sense. Shouldn't matter why you're there. Should be covered. I have 2 therapy sessions a week and right now zero copay.
