I think it's a raesonable plan. You said the offer is for s1, so in 3 years you'd be a manager which would give you the exit opps your looking for
I don’t really care about taking a step back and getting a pay cut at this point in my career. Any advice from the seniors?
What are the pros from your perspective? Most people leave public to try to get to controller so this seems a little backwards to me. Additionally, I'd see FAAS or some other advisory as more your speed then IA
It will help broaden my horizon. My experience has been limited to one industry, however, by joining Big4 i will get exposure to multiple industries. Having a diverse finance and accounting background should give me an easier exit strategy in next 2,3 years I believe.Honestly having Big4 on resume puts you at the forefront among other candidates. Totally understand it’s a bit backward but someone who has never worked at Big4, it would pay off in long term. The quicker way to step in was through IA and I would like to ask how easier would it be to navigate to FAAS in 8-10 months? I heard managers are very supportive and let you decide your career.any thoughts?
As someone who has been in B4, I disagree. If you want exposure to more industries I'd recommend jumping to an industry role there.
I think going IA -> FAAS would be tougher than industry to faas
What level would they bring you on at?
S1
Many Thanks!
I say do it. You will get great experience and the money is good.
