Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.

I was laid off in May and been on the job hunt for 4 months. Finally received a offer. Then a week later another offer. I was working remotely for the past year & I’m struggling w/ the idea of being onsite. Neither job is on my desired career path, my goal is people operations/HR operations.
Offer 1: Payroll Admin, on-site. 72k, 216 hrs PTO
Offer 2: HR Payroll Admin, Remote. 62.5K + 6k sign on bonus, 70k after 6 months, 144 hrs PTO

For folks starting at BCG (experienced hires) in August, is there any indication as to what the first week(s) of orientation and training is like? I.e., remote vs in-person (if in-person, which city), etc.

Approved by doctor/HR to remain remote and it’s not going over well( we were told we would remain remote, which included giving up our desks, but are now being asked to come in two days). The person who seemed the most annoyed by my request is my direct boss. I found it odd because she announced she was only doing one day because she was pregnant and the director was basically like “ok”. I don’t want to put a target on my back and I do enjoy the work. Should I just bite the bullet and come in?

Has anyone here ever worked remote from a different country for a few months? How did your job react? I’m just a little nervous to ask, even though my job is super flex. I only go into the office once a week right now, with a lot of team members being fully remote. My husband and I are thinking of going to Costa Rica January to early March to escape the bleak winter. I got email from LTI "Thank you for applying to LTIMindtree and going through our complete selection process" on 27 Sept but after 1 week I follow up on offer letter she said my approval got rejected due high expectation (35% hike ). We re-negotiate at 6 Oct (30% hike). Now they will release offer letter or not ?

How some people are clearing interview and then getting into a project even though they don't have any skills, no desire to learn new things, can't perform a very very simple task even though it's already documented clearly, totally burden on team members. They don't even try to do basic troubleshooting when they faced simple issues, rather asks stupid question to junior who is having only 1 years of experience and ask for solution.
I noticed this in every project I joined
