Is it hiring time for strategy? I've heard zilch since Thanksgiving, finally accepted a gig and seven (7!!) places reached out for full time the past week - a couple which I've been chasing forever.

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

In every interview when they ask “why strategy” I never feel like my answer is sufficient enough. Even if it’s a straight fwd, honest answer... is there something they’re looking for?

I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. But I’m afraid if I decline Facebook then Amazon won’t happen. I’m just completely lost.

He told me the next step would be a second phone interview and then the Loop. I sent a thank you note afterwards. How soon after your phone screen were you told that you were moving forward in the process?

I got to ask. I had my recruiter phone screening and can’t seem to figure out a couple of things.
1. Applied for 2posts. Said Under Consideration for one but was interviewed for a different role. Is this normal?
2. The interviewer didn’t seem much interested to speak to me. Or maybe I’m reading too much into it.
