What kind of PTO does everyone's firm offer? I get 20 days of PTO plus all federal holidays.
Hi all. If you have ever encountered passive aggressive teammates, did you raise this situation to your direct report? If so, what was your approach and how did you deliver the feedback? This particular teammate is beginning to create a toxic work environment for me and I would like to diffuse this situation amicably, as performance reviews are near.
Assuming you are smart enough to do both (I know big assumption), are you better off being a SWE/data scientist at FAANG or equivalent level at MBB (based on YOE) from a compensation:WLB ratio?
Anyone deal with post partum depression or depletion? I’m so foggy (18 months after 2nd child)

Hi All, I am Quality Assurance & Project Management professional in Manufacturing Industry with 11+yrs of experience. I am looking for a better opportunity to work outside my current organization. I am looking for Project Manager roles in Manufacturing Industry.
I have been in full time permanent work my entire career. If I were to transition to a full time contract role where I’m paying for everything, what is a formula I can use to calculate the salary I want if I’m trying to get a 25% bump in my total compensation? Ex - if I currently make $100k as a permanent fte and my next job I want to make is $125k but I go from permanent to contract work, what is a suitable figure to ask for? Need to calculate paying taxes and the benefits I would be losing.
I live in and absolutely love California. No other state compares in my mind (industry, career opportunities, salary, culture, diversity, food, weather, landscape, political inclination, etc). If I were to consider temporarily (2-3 years) moving to another state to accumulate more wealth on the way to FI, what states (specifically cities) would make me least miserable?
Been a Big4 director (technology) for 1 year and was offered just a FAANG role as an EM (I like to interview every now and again to see what the options are). Offer is financially better than my current role and hours seem way better than Big4 hours, but I am not sure I would learn as much as I have been learning as a director. Anyone on here been through the same transition?
Thoughts on taking a red eye with a 16 month old? My hope is he’ll sleep through most of the flight and the drive from the airport (about an hour). Is that totally crazy?
What salary range should I be asking for? I am looking to transition from Audit to Forensic Accounting and have both my CPA and CFE. I also have 2 years of public accounting experience.
Current salary: $93K New Offer (hedge fund) :$110K with 10-20K bonus. Take it or leave it? I am going into my second year as a Consultant.
Got an offer within Product Ops (Mt View) for L4, 145k base, 15% bonus, 185k equity (33/33/22/12), 15 sign on. One competing offer (that is lower) and only MBB promotion to Engagement manager in a few months as leverage point. Any fish guidance on how the offer fares up / how to proceed / what comp I should push for?
