In Cognizant i got offer with position like manager-projects but actually i am technical guy.

I was told today that my position is being moved from salary to hourly at the first of the year. I was assured my pay will remain the same, it will just be at an hourly rate. Why would a company do this? Btw, my job regularly requires more than 40 hrs week. Should I be nervous?

I have 4.3 YOE currently and I was offered Engr II - Full Stack position in VDSI. But after doing some research it seems Engr II is usually for YOE between 2 and 4. Is this correct? Will there be a problem for me if I take up this position with my YOE?
Since I am a lateral entry, I think promotion to Engr III also would take a lot of time.

Also can you please let me know the current designation hierarchy in VDSI?

I said no, he repeats the request a couple of times and I still say no. He then says ‘are you sure? I’m a police’ (assuming to reassure us that he’s safe’), still said no. He waits for a few seconds and went back to his table, kept looking over. I am super weirded out by this. We’re foreigners. Is this a thing in the US?!

Need some suggestion here. I am serving my notice and only 30 days left for my LWD. I get calls, attend interviews giving multiple rounds but still no offer in hand. I quit my current org. because there is no scope in learning new things or I get assigned with work which I lost interest as I work in production support.
