Hi, anyone received promotion gift.

I work for an internal department within Public Sector (7.5 years) Despite us having the financially best year ever in 2021, my raise was only 4% with no bonus.

I've been offered the same position at JSI Telecom for $47K more and it is Canadian family-owned, 400 personnel and two days a week in the office vs. completely remote and flexible at GT. Whereas I'm in a team of 20 at GT, I'd be the only person in my position so more workload and I have two little ones to think of. Thoughts?

I joined EY GDS on august 2nd 2021 as advanced analyst for US taxation. I don’t have enough hours but I have over all 3 years of experience (2.7 Deloitte and Ey - August 2021 till now) in US tax and very good feedback untill now. Is there a possibility to get senior promotion this year?
If over all hours is the only main criteria then I would not get this year?

I totally messed up. I had enough for down payment (HYSA), and pumped everything aside from that lump into stocks before the crash. Now houses went WAY up and I have not enough for down payment anymore. Can’t sell stocks at a loss. So I have just been saving my checks as fast as possible but I’m disheartened that’s houses seem to just keep going up. My raise can’t keep up at all.

Put in my notice partially due to feeling undervalued by the org not my boss who is great. Turns out I was going to be promoted at the end of the month they just hadn’t announced it yet. New job pays a lot more but would be a level down from this promotion. Feeling conflicted. There are some other issues at my current company but they are actively working to address. Backing out of the offer I accepted would definitely burn a bridge. Honestly not sure what I want to do. Both companies are F25

What comp can we expect to target after 2 YOE? I’m not miserable in consulting but don’t think I get paid enough. With my promotion in a month, I’ll be hitting 100k and I want to only leave if I can get 110k or more (going for strategy, PM, and a few startup roles). Is that realistic? whens the best time to leave for max comp in the long term?

I’ve spent 3 years working at a call center and I would do just about anything to get off the phones. Do I aim for a promotion, or would I be better off trying another industry?

Would you consider a 3% raise sufficient when the inflation is at 9.06% in the U.S? I feel completely undervalued and just wanted feedback on whether this is reasonable.

I’m a bit confused as to how pursue projects. I got hired as a Data Science Consultant as part of Global AI. There aren’t many available roles within Global AI or Solutions AI. Is it better to be under Applied Intelligence rather than Global Applied Intelligence and if I pursue projects that are not under AI or Global AI does that affect my promotion/raises?

Was offered a senior accounting position in NYC for 100k and a 20% discretionary bonus. My EY raise in October will put me at 91k. I feel like 100k base is low given all the benefits at EY (ex: phone bill, internet bill, fitness fund) but the recruiters are saying 100k for someone with 3 years experience is unheard of. After reading the discussions on this bowl for some time, there's something I want to share. There's a lot of criticism of Modi, Indian govt, Hindu Nationalism etc here. A lot of it is for good reason.

If like me you get defensive about these, tell yourself that (most) of it isnt anti-India, or hatred for India. It feels that way since our idea of India has become liked to 'Hindu'. Most are anti-Modi precisely because they love India. Just something that helps me think more rationally. Peace.
