1. Company x = 18 lpa ( 16.7 fixed)
2. Company y = 19.5lpa ( 18.5 fixed) +1 lakh joining bonus

I want to join the company X due to the nature of work which i really intrested. Im very hesitant to call company x and ask them if there is possible to match company y offer. Im afraid if they might revoke my offer. I don't want to screw this up 😭 i never negotiated for anything before.

Feeling confused-6 months ago, I was asked to help out with one of the HRBP teams b/c they were short staffed. Resulting in me working as an HR analyst(original role) and an HRBP. My manager recently informed me that the HRBP team wants me join their team permanently and asked if I would be interested in this mobility move. When I asked her about the comp, she said it would be a lateral move, so won’t be a comp change until year end. Great opportunity but know I will be underpaid. Thoughts?

Does anyone have an email template they like when making "cold call" introductions to other professionals/potential referral sources. I need to build a referral network with CPAs, financial planners, etc., and invite them to come to me with questions or send their referrals on over! Bonus points if you have more than one or one which is more easily customizable.

I'm a class of 2019 corporate/ecvc associate at a NY based EC/VC boutique. Just had my annual review: next year I'll be paid $175k/yr, with $10k bonus for hitting 1,600 hrs. 10% bonus on originated fees. Hours are definitely less than biglaw and the partners are nice to work with, but can't stop thinking about how I'd make almost double (albeit pretax) at a biglaw. Or should I just be happy that the tech downturn didn't bite my ass?

Currently working in NYC at KPMG financial due diligence with 4.5 total years of experience. Getting promoted to manager in 2-3 months with 130k target base salary and 12k annual bonus. Got an offer in Bay Area California for a senior financial analyst for global strategy and M&A at fortune 150 firm with 140k base, $15k sign on, 10% annual bonus, relocation, and great benefits. Thinking of leaving promotion on table, long term goal is FAANG or tech. Is this a fair offer?

Advice needed:
I recently got an offer from Deloitte and plan to accept it. However, I’ll move to a higher COL city in a few months, and right now I’m in a LCOL city. I feel the offer they gave me is already on the high percentile for my level at my location, but I’m worried that I might lose this advantage once I transfer to a HCOL city. How should I negotiate about this? Does anyone know how salary adjustment works when transferring offices or have any experience?
