So I started at a new role at a known retailer about 2 months ago. I am their first hire in this role, as I have more than 5 years of relevant experience leading initiatives and optimizing process across departments. While I understand it takes time to adjust to the culture, its seems like all I have witnessed is resistance to change. I already feel myself not wanting to be here long, but I'm putting pressure on myself to not be a quitter. Would you stick it out or start looking?
Considering leaving EY for a 300 FTE consulting firm, mainly govt sector, for a strategic talent role (non-client facing). Current Manager in a long-term product management role. Offer is 30% increase, director title, and fully remote. Concerned about jumping to a company I had never heard of prior to LinkedIn connection. Thoughts? 30% too low for this type of jump?
Hi Folks, I am currently working at BCG GS. I am getting an exact similar role at Bain. Now I am unsure if I should make this switch. Any suggestions?

Any tips for someone who discounts good feedback but heavily focuses on the opportunities to improve? So much that I have a fear of getting fired despite receiving overall good feedback. I started a new job earlier this year. The function of the role and industry is new to me. My manager told me he generally has higher expectations than the rest of the organization. Originally, I viewed this as a great learning opportunity but can't help to think I'm not cut out for this and fear the worst.
Finally watched The Social Dilemma on Netflix. It didn’t say anything that we didn’t already know about social media and big tech, but it’s still alarming and worth the watch. The biggest question I have after watching is why do people still romanticize FAANG? Is just purely the money and prestige? Are we selling our soul for a highly regarded exit opportunity? Just curious.
Do you stay at a good firm with a good reputation where you are siloed in a back office role with no growth or go to a lesser known firm with less track record and opportunity to learn and grow? I’m in an extremely operational role and want to leave but the benefits down the line could be grand. How do you evaluate a decision like this?
Zillow as the exit opportunity? Product Manager role. Yay/Nay? Not considering $$ for now. Just based on culture and future growth prospects?
Got messaged by a recruiter who said she works for a large fintech company and wanted to set up time to chat. Personally, I don’t like to go into recruiting calls blind so I asked if she could provide the name of the company and a job description, to which she said she can’t really give any additional details at this point in time. Is it normal for recruiters to do this? Or does it mean the role / company isn’t that good? I don’t want to waste 15-20 minutes of both of our times if possible.
I have this constant feeling of doing something better then what I am doing now. Bigger role, better pay, more growth, higher impact .... is what my brain is consumed with all the time. It’s not new, I have been feeling like this for as long as I remember ... even when I was in school. Although it has served me well so far career wise, but sometimes I feel that I missing out on my present life... does anyone feel like this too? I am not sure if this normal. I am in mid-40s, in case that matters.
Any McKinsey fish willing to chat about a potential referral? I believe I’d be a strong candidate (and earn you some $$$). Details in comments, thank you!
I’m being promoted to Manager this November but recent got offer from a fintech. In money term the manager base pay is 5k greater than the new role but i’m negotiating to match the offer with my Manager salary. Should I wait until promoted or move asap? I dont want to continue working in external audit so trying to pivot to data analyst role/IA in the fintech before moving to full DA/DS position… but thinking the Manager promotion would help negotiate salary in the future.
Facing a career decision: do I take the pay raise, or the position that I'm more interested in?
Is it true that WPP underpays creatives? I interviewed for a CD position at Grey last year and they wouldn't budge past 180K - and ghosted me when I pushed for 200K.

Hey, I have applied to a job at EY for Risk assurance. My academics are pretty good and I'm pursuing ACCA with BCom, with a year of internship experience as well. I have tried to apply but I think a referral would really help. Please dm me for referrals. Would be happy to speak on linkedin as well and send my job ID as well.

Another lie from our car-salesman President. He just said we had the “largest testing capacity in the world”, and that “nobody’s done a better job at testing...” but we can’t test 100 Senators to keep the government running. https://www.axios.com/senate-doctor-mitch-mcconnell-coronavirus-testing-e99282f6-90f5-4e11-8b45-02548f38ab12.html
