I am a registered Republican .. but does not want this governor reelected for sure .. what a moron he has been

EY2, that’s why I find it comical that an ill-informed out of stater is so motivated to re-elect a governor in another state haha! People died as a result of the power outage, talk about being out of touch.
Time for hot wheels abbot to hit the road. That man is wildly behind the times.
Here’s what I don’t get: Abbott has a track record that works to his advantage and disadvantage. We know where he stands, and you can pick apart issues like upgrading the power grid. Take one of his primary challengers and we’re talking about a wildcard in the general election. Abbott also has AG and SC experience in state government, and he’s the kind of person who can attract suburban voters in Dallas, Austin, and Houston. Maybe it’s the safe choice. I like the others - but going from, for example, a radio show to Governor seems like a big step. Prather seems like a good guy but he’s more appealing for rural Texas and that will play in Beto’s hands. I mean, I don’t live there so I don’t know the details, but having a primary challenger usurp an incumbent with a good chance of winning and not a complete train wreck seems very risky. O’Rourke isn’t an Ann Richards moderate, so who knows what’ll happen.
While we’re on the subject, why the hell is Paxton being primaried? I don’t know much about George P Bush but can’t really say I’m motivated to elect him. I love Gohmert but I’m also not sure why I’d vote for him instead of Paxton.
No idea. Agree on Gohmert—he should just stay in the House, he’s doing a good job there.
Just curious—why Abbott over the primary challengers (Huffines, Prather, Horn)?
Ok that’s fair SM1. Thanks for sharing
