Hi, can someone share light on a final round interview with EY-P? What’s evaluated during a written case and a group case? How should a candidate approach it? The interview is in 3 days. TIA

What's the typical amount of time between the first interview and getting an offer?

I am noticing that McKinsey is increasingly recruiting at non-elite schools (very roughly speaking not top 15 schools). At my old undergrad, 5 years ago the most competitive firm to show up was EY. This year McKinsey took 4 non-internship full hires. Why is McKinsey going “down market” for recruiting? Are elite school kids losing interest in consulting so McK has to cast a wider net? Or is McK seeking a wider pool for other reasons? I advise undergrads on consulting so want to be best informed.

Most ridiculous questions you’ve been asked during an interview?

I gave a series of interview and submitted all documents on Accenture portal. Hr negotiated salary and confirmed on call. Now after all the efforts a different HR calls me back and reduced a major portion of CTC and said we can't offer more than this. Is this a negotiation gimmick? I told them right on the first day itself that if you can't give me my expected CTC let's not waste each other's time. Will they call back? It doesn't hurt me much as I have one more offer in pipeline.Pls help
