Gonna say the harsh truth. Part of the issue with these salaries is the configuration of these cohorts…For example design should NOT be lumped in with Product Managers. Working on customer facing, revenue producing Products should NOT be lumped in with internal Products. That’s why these numbers are dragged down. In real Product orgs there are very big gaps in comp between the different types of roles and that is okay.

Based on whatever I know thanks to my friends in Deloitte and PWC , manager is only next level to senior con which is a role for 8+ yoe . Is hierarchy wise E&Y any different from rest of big4 . I heard manager salary normaly is from 20-28 fixed in big 4 . Anyone from E&Y or ex E&Y care to comment .

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)?
