Realistically, anything from Lakeview to the loop stretching west to 94 is gonna be a pretty solid option.
That being said, having friends in your 30s is always tough, as many 30 somethings are more focused on building a family than they are on building friendships.
Good luck!
Thanks M1. Sadly my decade long relationship is ending, so I need to start over in the relationship / family category too. But also hoping to make new friends (especially female friends)
West loop. Close to the city with plenty of nicer bars and restaurants. Pretty much all the buildings in the area are luxury building with amenities. Many buildings have pools / rooftops with views and are filled with mostly young professionals.
I’m in the suburbs but happy to try being friends, I’m also in my early 30s and all my friends have kinda disappeared after they got married so I could use some new ones.
Early 30s definitely west loop unless you know people in another area.
I live in south loop and love it. 33F, high rise, great amenities, close to the lake, lovely neighbors. It doesn’t have the restaurant and bar scene of west loop and river north, but I kind of like that
What’s your budget?
Also would be open to buying a condo that allows rentals, but think there might be better deals next year. Also have to find a balance between nice building and location and reasonable HOA (I saw some that would double the monthly payment—crazy!!)
I’m always interested in meeting new people and hanging out. I’m in the city and would be happy to show you around a bit too.
Also, M1 pretty much nailed it but really it will depend on your budget. I’m sure you can find something in your range within that area he/she mentioned.
Thanks so much M2, I appreciate that!! I included details on my budget in response to Strategy&’s comment above

Thanks for the recs. These buildings look beautiful but are out of my price range 🙁 any other recs at a lower price point?
