Hi everyone, I'm currently a BDR at SF for the french market. And I'm questioning my next steps. One of the two possible path ahead of me are:
- SmB AE
- Enterprise corporate sales ("Little AE" working in large account with a senior AE)
Which way seems to be more profitable for my next career plan ? (I'm a little bit tired of cold calling all day though.)
Should I stay at SF more few years or switch elsewhere ?
Thanks for your help ! Salesforce
There are quite a few SaaS companies out there that will hire in an SDR or BDC type role with a fast-track to AE or AM after 1 to 2 years of learning their software and processes. I would get in touch with SaaS recruiters in search of opportunities like that as an easier foot in the door.
I’m always looking for BDR talent, let me know
Do you have any account management experience?
If you can demonstrate any sort of account management experience/skills (or AE experience) you might be able to get yourself into a role as an AE or Account Manager. Even things like chatting with the prospect on the phone or Zoom to create the opportunity, troubleshooting issues with prospects (e.g. support/success skills) can help boost your resume.
Would you want to get an SDR job somewhere else that is much better?
Awesome. If you're serious about that, DM me. I'm currently taking on people that want to land top notch SDR jobs. I've helped 6 people this year land jobs at some of the hottest startups. I'm building up my portfolio right now so I wouldn't charge you anything if you want help.
This sounds a lot like a past employer of mine. Any chance this is MemoryBlue??
DM if you’d like - I’d be happy to swap horror stories and maybe introduce you to some recruiters
