Background: 2 odd yrs of AC consulting/data analytics experience in MC Advisory. 4+ yrs of non-consulting exp MBA and MS. What should be the expected annual wage if getting an offer from Core Deloitte? Thank you!
So for the last two years I have been an executive in a FT 200 company. And one my my primary roles is strategic advisor to the CPO on product strategy, management, design and GTM. It’s all around Fintech. And before that I worked in IT integration, app development, data analytics and IT strategy. What roles should I be thinking about inside a more pure tech firm? Think Google, Salesforce and etc. oh I have 17yrs if experience along with an M7 MBA. Thanks all!
Im strongly considering an MBA. Only thing that deters me is cost. I’ve heard of some tier 1 firms that will offer tuition reimbursement for returning interns post-MBA, how common is that? Also considering pivoting to a firm that offers scholarships. Any tips/insight on this? Thank you!
Can anyone please refer me for HR Internship? I completed my post graduation in MBA in HR in 2017. But due to some other commitments, I couldn't pursue this career. I really want to explore and headstart my career in HR. I have some experience as Reservation Sales Associate and Freelance Professional Makeup Artist.
Trying to apply for mba next year after my first year as consultant. Does it with worth it to go to MBA by C-2 when I have a decent shot for getting manager after C-3?
Why do majority people take GMAT for MBA when GRE is accepted in all top schools? Isn’t scoring 330+ GRE much easier (at least it’s not adaptive, making it less psychological) What am I missing?
Curious what others think about this: a friend of mine has a couple of months of leave this fall to study for the CPA exam (they’ll be paid a reduced salary during their leave), but they mentioned they have no intention of studying for the exam, and instead plan to use that time to look for another job. This rubs me the wrong way, but wanted to hear what others think…
Is it normal for gmat score to drop? Went from 710 (47Q 40V) to 690 (46Q 38V) with 6 weeks in btwn. Cancelled the 690. I’ve taken 6 mba.com mocks (Avg 720, 48Q 40V) and 3 Manhattan prep CATs (Avg 700, 46Q 40V). Shooting for ~740!
I work at a boutique consulting firm making 150k/year. Been studying for the GRE the past month for fall 2022. My main reasons for an MBA are to ensure I can keep climbing towards an exec level role. My experience is a bit all over the place from consumer insights to cultural strategy and think the MBA provides opportunity to learn / pivot into more traditional strategy-based roles. Thinking the long-term value of the MBA and network will be worth it. Just want a gut-check on this reasoning.
Current MBA students, how much did you spend / year all-inclusive of living expenses, tuition/fees, travel, etc? From what I’ve gathered, 125-150k a year is not unheard of.
Currently a senior in Risk and am being recruited to FDD at PwC - interview went really well and they are interested. If long term goal is a top MBA, is this a good switch? Would be coming in at either S2 or S3, what is pay like (HCOL)? Are there better positions? Recruiter was open to me exploring other roles, would I qualify for deal strategy?
Looking around for lean six sigma certs, any program suggestions? There seems to be so many??
Has anyone used a MBA consultant to help them with the admissions process? I’ll apply in fall 2020 and want to get a better idea of my profile. Any recommendations on consultants would be great!
Anyone here has MBA from a European program or considering to get their MBA in Europe (considering Said/Judge/LBS/IMD etc)? I am a DS now but want to move into managementmstrategy roles and also diversify my experiernce and try out living in a different continent (from China, did my undergrad + master in top 10 US school, 2 YOE as of today). What are the pros and cons of a European MBA, if I am not looking to premanently relocate to Europe?
Need to make $150k base in Seattle area. I'm two years post-MBA at a "tier 2 strat house." What opportunities have the highest success rate (most likely to get offer)? I need to be very targeted in my networking/applications.
Do MBA admits need to fill out the CSS profile for university grants? Is that applicable for us?
Ah now it did.

Recruiters keep emailing my work email address and I’ve no idea where they got my corporate email from. Anybody else get emails like this?
Traveling to Miami/fort Lauderdale for work next month. Is there an active bowl for 🐠 down there? Going to head down the weekend before and would love recs on things to do, where to go and eat, or if anyone wants to get a drink or has a place to stay
A lot of my close friends in Tech are SWEs and are making ~400-500k / year. I am in Consulting and make ~160k/yr. I know this is already a lot and I am super privileged, but I still struggle with comparison. I have no interest in being a SWE but I still struggle with the lesser money I make. How do I deal with this apart from aspiring for higher paid professions?
To all my male 🐠 out there: if a girl tells you she's been single for 4 years, what goes through your head? I'm not worried, just curious if initial reactions are pos/neg/neutral. 28/F if that helps
Big 4 fish - when you’re scheduled for 40 hours a week, are you actually working 40 and billing 40? Or do you often find you are expected to work more but only bill 40? Currently having this issue
🐟 - any insights on an expert role in McK? I am an executive in a small consulting firm. 1. Is it worth moving to MBB as an expert? I’ve heard mixed reviews about growth and exit opportunities. 2. Are the interviews still case based? 3. is it a respectable position McK? 4. Would it ever make partner as an expert? I would appreciate your input,
Finally some politics we can all agree on!
I did not grow up in the US but live in a second tier city in the Midwest now. We are sending our daughter to a private elementary school now for ~$20k a year. Is it worth it vs. good public schools? In terms of academic outcome and emotional well being for the child. Anyone with personal experience?
Kearney has absolutely no exit opportunities besides operational and procurement roles. Wish I realized this before I joined.
